Challenging Time Require New Attitudes
We are at a time in history when our economic systems seem to be crumbling. When it hits you personally it hurts and can paralize you with fear. However, it may just be an experience of transformation and maybe something better is on the way.
The law of attraction says that what we think about or, more exactly, “feel” about on a consistent basis is what manifests in our life. So, what happens if we all focus on the trauma of the current situation? We create more of it. One possible solution is to look at the situation and tell a different story. We can start looking at what’s possible now and where are we going next.
A great way to look at this challenging experience is to consider it from an historical perspective. Alvin Toffler, in his book “The Third Wave”, talked about three major phases of human economic development. The first was the Agricultural Age when we worked at home and bartered with our extended community for goods and services. The second was the Industrial Age. After the invention of the steam engine we created mass production, factories and the concept of a “job”.
Because of the Industrial Age we invented technology that gave us the internet and international travel. All the rules have changed and now the whole world is our extended family.
Another way of looking at our situation is that history is calling us out of a place of subjugation into a place of powerful personal self expression. It seems scary at first but we may soon realize that this is what we really wanted all along. Now is the time to recognize that we are living in the context of history and that this transformational time is not the end but simply a change. The good news is that change brings with it the seeds of greater freedom and prosperity for everyone.
In this new age there are new needs being born. What is required are leaders. People who take a look at what’s possible next, who do their due dilegence and research to find out what’s possible now. It is possible to look at life like a ride on a river and right now we’re on the rapids! It can be fun or it can scare us.
The more we put our focus on what we really do want the more we may find greater freedom and fulfillment. It’s one of those things, that when you look back on it, you say “Boy! I’m glad that happened”. But, for right now it looks like a mess. The challenge is take stock and move forward.
Your work is to establish new partnerships, investigate opportunities, pay attention to what really moves and inspires you. In the new era you don’t need formal education; you simply need to be educated. The Internet now makes all of this possible!
