China is a communist-led nation with an everyday life that is largely influenced by traditions that go back many generations. This may make China appear to be a less than friendly option for gay vacations; however tourists might be surprised to find a thriving scene throughout China’s urban areas including neighborhoods, bars, clubs and pride celebrations, as well as a growing level of acceptance largely due to the visibility of an organized LGBT community. China offers an array of vacation options including unique cultural experiences, breathtaking landscapes, delectable food and fabulous fashion, making China a perfect choice for gay vacations.

Shanghai and Hong Kong are two cities in China that are popular locations for gay tours. Each has a growing, organized LGBT community, as well as many clubs, bars, saunas, restaurants, LGBT community events and annual pride celebrations, making both of these cosmopolitan cities great vacation destinations for LGBT tourists. There are several beaches around Hong Kong Island that have a large male population, as well as neighborhoods such as Lan Kwai Fong and Soho in Hong Kong and Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. The club scene in Shanghai is centered in the French Concession district and is home to an array of LGBT options from darkly lit lounges to thumping dance clubs.

Beijing is another large city that is both a hub for business and a center for world-class shopping, dining and fashion. Although Beijing does not have the vibrant nightlife found in Shanghai or Hong Kong, a number of bars, clubs and restaurants are beginning to appear throughout the city, the most popular of which is a dance club called Destination. Destination has a mostly male clientele, but many women also frequent this LGBT hotspot. Within walking distance are also several friendly eateries including the trendy fusion bistro, Alameda, as well as Mare, a Spanish restaurant with a romantic atmosphere.

March 15th, 2010

N - This letter means Nothing. Why? Because that is exactly what 97% of men and women have going on in their livesNOTHING! Bear in mind, you should avoid these men and women. How exciting is nothing? Not really exciting in the least! If perhaps there’s nothing occurring, After that you’re living a boring and meaningless living. You’re refusing to discover the blessings that are around you. Every single man has an infinite amount of blessings in their lives, however sadly many individuals never notice them.

For that 3% group, the letter “N” means “Nothing will stop me.” In case you don’t know exactly how you are likely to achieve your goals, so if you find out why you are doing exactly what you’re carrying out and you believe in your self plus your dream, that is enough. Many productive individuals did not understand how they were going to reach their goal when they first set it. But they kept going nonetheless, simply because they believed in their desire enough to know which nothing at all could stop them from attaining it.

Henry Ford imagined of creating an automobile which was inexpensive, reliable, and efficient. Most importantly, he wanted the car to be reasonable for regular people and not merely the wealthy. He became laser-focused on his product and consumer base to realize his goal. Several major financial backers actually left Ford, because he refused to expose a vehicle that he did not feel was ready for customers. There were also many individuals which questioned his abilities, and his right to even legally manufacture automobiles. But that didn’t stop him.

In October 1908 while announcing the birth of the Model T, Ford announced “I will build a motor car for that great ton.” Because of Ford’s desire, the Model T vehicle was one of the greatest improvements in the lives of typical men and women in history. Could you imagine how much different the planet would be if Henry Ford had followed anyone around him? Say thanks to God Henry Ford believed in his perspective and was persistent in pursuit of his aspiration.

How often can you let exactly what someone else said or another barrier keep you from attaining your ambition? Are you as unyielding and consistent as Ford? If you’re not, what’s preventing you? Go beyond your own fear and self-doubt and permit nothing to take a position in the way of your accomplishment.

Explanation of the Four Mental States Achieved Using Binaural Beats

February 8th, 2010
Comments Off

Using binaural beats will allow you to obtain varied states of mind with ease. These differing frequencies allow your brain to tune into different states. These states can assist you with a multitude of items, including assisting in positive thinking, focus, learning, relaxing, achieving a meditative state and many more.

Over a century ago, the effects of binaural beats were found. It was found that by playing different frequencies into your ears, it could have an effect on the frequency at which the brain operates at. As an example, if you wanted to tune your brain into a similar state that deeper sleep gives you, a frequency of around one to three hertz (hertz are changes per minute) could be played into your ears. And today, just a CD or MP3 player is required to get your brainwave frequency where you want it.

You may be questioning how someone’s mind can achieve these type of frequencies. This is done by playing two different sounds (one in each ear) at different (but similar) frequencies. For example, if a tone at 400 Hz is played in the right ear, and a tone of 410 Hz is played in the other ear, a “binaural beat” is created as the difference of the two frequencies. In this example, the difference of the two would be 10 Hz.

The frequencies can be classified into four categories, with each category focusing on a different state of mind. The names of these frequencies may be very familiar to you, as they are frequently used when speaking of other topics, but more especially when talking about binaural beats. These frequencies are called theta, delta, alpha, and beta.

Beginning in the 13 Hz to the 25 Hz range is the beta frequency range. Within this range, your brain can work on reducing and eliminating stress and anxiety, as well as remaining alert.

Next are the frequencies in the alpha range. These frequencies range from 8 Hz to 12 Hz. Positive thinking and the ability to improve your ability to learn can occur in this range. In addition, it also produces a state of slight relaxation.

The third category is the theta range. Frequencies in the theta range are from 4 to 7 Hz. This frequency range can result in increased focus, improved memory, deep relaxation, and is fantastic for meditation.

The last category is called the delta range. These frequencies are primarily responsible for deeper sleep, an increase in immune functions, and lucid dreaming.

It is clear to see that using binaural beats in the different ranges can trigger a huge array of mental states, resulting in a number of advantages for those who take advantage of them.

Are you ready to improve your life and are looking for the best rated binaural beat files to use on a CD, PC or MP3 player? Take a look at our brainwave mp3 resources!

Tips that could save your job in 2009.

by Debbie Robbyns

It’s hard to ignore that times have change when you hear every Tom, Dick and Harry talking about the recession that is happening today. Whether or not we are in recession is no longer the question. What is more relevant are the rising unemployment rate and the massive layoffs happening to many multinational companies.

I was talking to a friend the other day about being irreplaceable. The old adage is that the company was there a long time before you came along and will be for a long time afterwards. These days, that may NOT be the case for the company. But there are things you can do to be an asset to your company.

Technology

It is at times like these that companies start laying off people who whose skills are obsolete or below average. The age of information technology has made it easy for people to multitask and perform more efficiently. Staffs who acquire valuable technology skills are deem to be more valuable and efficient than those who are still typing with 2 index fingers.

Even if you don’t have the necessary skills, that is not an excuse to slack off. Sign up for a course, attend a seminar and to really make an impression - pay for them yourself. That should say how committed you are to your job.

Invest in Yourself.

IT courses are not the only ones you could sign up. Invest in quality and useful courses that will help you manage your job better. There are many business development courses, customer relations classes, marketing seminars that could give add credibility to your name.

Increased Efficiency.

Like everything else in life, if you don’t practise what you learn you will never be good at it. Having all those certificates and knowledge under your belt will not help you if you don’t put to work what you learn. Use your skills to help you produce more in less time. When you are efficient you will find yourself with more responsibilities and thus becoming indispensable.

Don’t ask for too much.

The financial crisis we are facing has forced us to re-evaluate our financial standards and material needs. Presently, it is better to be contended with a secure job than it is to ask unreasonably for a huge pay rise or big year end bonus. These are some of the items that you should avoid:

1. Asking for a big raise. Companies are in a tight financial spot right now and giving a huge raise (if any) is the last on their agendas. Be patient, and consider this as an opportunity to show your loyalty to your company by sticking through the thick and thin. Once times get better, your sacrifice will be rewarded.

2. Don’t ask for perks like a car allowance, extra mileage or meal money you aren’t entitled to.

3. Do not abuse company properties. It is not a good idea to be printing your manuscript from the office printer or making a personal long distance call from your office.

4. Involve in office gossips. Stay away from topics / rumours that are not related to work.

The most vital thing to keep in mind this year is to market yourself as a commodity. Invest in yourself and do your job well. Once you are recognised by your employer as indispensable you will not be replaced. The better equipped you are this year, the better your chances of surviving this year’s downturn.

3 Rules to Harness the Power of Affirmations

February 21st, 2009

by Caroleee Laffoon

Affirmation statements -we hear them spoken often by motivational speakers, authors, writers etc., but what can we personally do to harness the power of affirmations in our own lives?

Think about a time in your life when you desired to make a change ” something major, like finding a new job, moving to a new city or home, or something less momentous like a New Years resolution to improve your overall health. Can you think of a past experience like that? Now, think about the tools that you used or steps that you took to help guide you through that transition and keep you focused on achieving your goals while making that change.

These tools in effect, involved you setting in motion a series of events to accomplish the goals you’d set out for yourself, and one of the easiest ways to achieve success is to create affirmations.

Affirmations are very easy to use and quite powerful once you get the hang of practicing this daily exercise. Affirmations keep you focused on whats important to you and help you achieve positive transitions. Basically an affirmation is a declaration that something is already true and has come to fruition in your life in the present moment. You have to believe what you are looking to achieve or obtain has already arrived in order for it to show up in your life.

If your desire is to create personal well-being, first choose a phrase that describes what you desire. For example, if you desire to adopt a healthier lifestyle, then your affirmation statement could say, I feel good and look good when I live a healthy lifestyle. Or I enjoy the great feelings I get from exercising daily. Short powerful statements are more focused and work much better to bring about results than long, drawn-out paragraphs.

There are some rules to follow when creating an affirmation that Id like to share with you.

Rule # 1: The phrase must be in the present tense, such as I feel good, as opposed to I will feel good which implies that at some point in the future you might achieve your goal. Remember to phrase your affirmation as if your desire

Rule #2: The statement must always be written from a positive perspective, instead of a negative one. For example, you wouldn’t say I don’t feel good when I am not healthy as this places your health - which you are trying to change ” in a negative context. Always phrase your desire/affirmation statement in a positive context and in the present tense.

Rule #3: Repeat often. After you create an affirmation, write it down on something that you can keep with you, like a notebook or card to put in your purse or wallet, or place it somewhere that you look at often throughout your day such as on your bathroom mirror or your desk at work. Make sure that you read your affirmation statements as many times during your day as possible.

Studies have shown that using the power of affirmations can lower stress and I have found this to be true in my own life. When I get clear about what I want in my life and focus on my desires with affirmations every day, I am more content and peaceful. What we focus on grows, so the more you focus your attention on your affirmations, the more likely you are to create positive changes in your life and achieve your dreams.

My favorite book on affirmations and the power of healing is Louise Hays, You Can Heal Your Life. In this fascinating book you can learn more about the healing power of affirmations and how you can harness them to improve your overall health and well-being. And frankly, who wouldn’t like to live a healthier, more serene life in these turbulent times?

Using the power behind affirmations can truly change your life for the better. Put this into practice this week by writing down three short affirmations about three areas youd like to make positive changes in your life. Be sure to state your desires in the present tense and in a positive way. Practice repeating these statements as many times as you can for 7 days and see what wonderful changes reveal themselves in your life.
