Is There a Difference Between Tea, Tea herbal plus Tisane?

A large number of beverages are called tea, but if you look at the label of a little of those “teas” you can notice the word tisane. True tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. True teas have black, oolong, green and white tea.

Flavored teas include Earl Grey, which is black tea including bergamot, plus Jasmine, which is usually green tea including jasmine flowers. Other varieties of teas cover Darjeeling and Ceylon, which are black teas plus Gunpowder plus Sencha, which are green teas. Tea herbal plus tisane are one in the same. It seems almost any flower or that is steeped in hot water is referred to as tea; although in a quantity of countries the label tea is legally restricted to drinks made including the true tea shrub.

Some regular tea herbals include chamomile, peppermint and rooibos. Of course this is a fairly short list of the commonly obtainable tea herbals.

The nice thing is that whether it’s a true tea or a tisane various “teas” seem to include health benefits. True teas, like green plus black, have been included in additional research studies plus seem to provide the biggest medicinal benefit, but tea herbals have proved beneficial as well.

In recent studies rooibos, also known as red tea, has shown liver protecting abilities as healthy.

Besides the question of tea or tisane you possibly will also ask tea bag or loose leaf?
