3 Rules to Harness the Power of Affirmations

Affirmation statements -we hear them spoken often by motivational speakers, authors, writers etc., but what can we personally do to harness the power of affirmations in our own lives?

Think about a time in your life when you desired to make a change ” something major, like finding a new job, moving to a new city or home, or something less momentous like a New Years resolution to improve your overall health. Can you think of a past experience like that? Now, think about the tools that you used or steps that you took to help guide you through that transition and keep you focused on achieving your goals while making that change.

These tools in effect, involved you setting in motion a series of events to accomplish the goals you’d set out for yourself, and one of the easiest ways to achieve success is to create affirmations.

Affirmations are very easy to use and quite powerful once you get the hang of practicing this daily exercise. Affirmations keep you focused on whats important to you and help you achieve positive transitions. Basically an affirmation is a declaration that something is already true and has come to fruition in your life in the present moment. You have to believe what you are looking to achieve or obtain has already arrived in order for it to show up in your life.

If your desire is to create personal well-being, first choose a phrase that describes what you desire. For example, if you desire to adopt a healthier lifestyle, then your affirmation statement could say, I feel good and look good when I live a healthy lifestyle. Or I enjoy the great feelings I get from exercising daily. Short powerful statements are more focused and work much better to bring about results than long, drawn-out paragraphs.

There are some rules to follow when creating an affirmation that Id like to share with you.

Rule # 1: The phrase must be in the present tense, such as I feel good, as opposed to I will feel good which implies that at some point in the future you might achieve your goal. Remember to phrase your affirmation as if your desire

Rule #2: The statement must always be written from a positive perspective, instead of a negative one. For example, you wouldn’t say I don’t feel good when I am not healthy as this places your health - which you are trying to change ” in a negative context. Always phrase your desire/affirmation statement in a positive context and in the present tense.

Rule #3: Repeat often. After you create an affirmation, write it down on something that you can keep with you, like a notebook or card to put in your purse or wallet, or place it somewhere that you look at often throughout your day such as on your bathroom mirror or your desk at work. Make sure that you read your affirmation statements as many times during your day as possible.

Studies have shown that using the power of affirmations can lower stress and I have found this to be true in my own life. When I get clear about what I want in my life and focus on my desires with affirmations every day, I am more content and peaceful. What we focus on grows, so the more you focus your attention on your affirmations, the more likely you are to create positive changes in your life and achieve your dreams.

My favorite book on affirmations and the power of healing is Louise Hays, You Can Heal Your Life. In this fascinating book you can learn more about the healing power of affirmations and how you can harness them to improve your overall health and well-being. And frankly, who wouldn’t like to live a healthier, more serene life in these turbulent times?

Using the power behind affirmations can truly change your life for the better. Put this into practice this week by writing down three short affirmations about three areas youd like to make positive changes in your life. Be sure to state your desires in the present tense and in a positive way. Practice repeating these statements as many times as you can for 7 days and see what wonderful changes reveal themselves in your life.

Have you ever wondered why many people practice meditation? Why many doctors trust in meditation and even recommend it as an alternative therapy for their patients? What are the benefits that meditation can give us? How can it help in the treatment of diseases?

There are lots of benefits that meditation can offer. It is no doubt why many doctors recommend meditation as a complementary treatment for many disorders. This has been a fact that is backed by an immense number of studies over the past decades. Meditation can bring many physical benefits for those people who practice it. Meditation can help many individuals to achieve good health. Meditation helps an individual seeking a high level of wellness. Some of the physical benefits of meditation are discussed below.

Through the use of meditation, an individual will feel very relaxed. Meditation helps reduce stress that a person feels. Furthermore, it can free a person from anxieties, fears, trauma, hypertension, and worries.

Meditation also helps the metabolic rate and the heart rate of an individual to decrease. Through the reduction of metabolic rate and lowering of heart rate, the person will feel very relaxed and will have no trouble experiencing deep rest. Breathing rates become more regular, allowing more oxygen to enter the body, and facilitating a better blood flow through the circulatory system.

Another benefit that a person could get from meditation is to have a healthy heart. We are all aware that high cholesterol is one of the reasons why there are many cases of heart attack. Practicing meditation can help reduce and even prevent heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases. Through meditation practice, the level of cholesterol will tend to drop, preventing vessel blockage and decreasing blood pressure levels.

Meditation can also benefit a person who suffers from asthma. Through the practice, a person can easily breathe because meditation can improve the lungs of a person, allowing the air to easily flow through the lungs. In addition to this, almost all meditation practices involve a series of breathing exercises.

Because of stress and many problems we experience in every day life, we cannot help but look older and feel more tired. We also sometimes feel depression because of the certain things around us. Through the help of meditation, the cortisol and lactate, which are the two chemicals that are associated with stress, tend to reduce. The reduction of cortisol and lactate will consequently lessen the stress that a person feels.

Moreover, meditation helps reduce free radicals in the body. These free radicals include oxygen molecules that are unstable which causes damages to our tissues. If our tissues will be damaged, it will lead to many diseases. Damaged tissues also are one of the reasons why we look older. Therefore, practicing meditation will lead us away from diseases and could also help us slow the effects of aging.

These are only some of the examples of the physical benefits that meditation could offer. Now we can see that meditation really is a big help to achieve a healthy body. It brings many benefits for those people who practice it. It will also help you avoid many diseases and help you achieve a high level of wellness that most people seek.

This is something that you are going to want to think about because having a green tea low carb diet requires that your carb intake is much smaller. This is a good diet for most people, but not for everyone. You have to be sure that your body can handle the smaller amount of carbs in a green tea low carb diet so that you know it is going to be successful.

Also, the other part of the diet is to drink lots of green tea or to have green tea extract as part of your diet. The green tea low carb diet combines the idea of not having so many carbs with the idea of being able to get the health benefits that are associated with the green tea. Green tea has so many health benefits that adding them to the benefits found in a low carb diet can make just about the perfect diet for a lot of people.
